Planning a themed children’s birthday party?
There’s so many popular kids party themes out there, that it can be a bit of a minefield, when it comes to settling on one.
Rather than ask your child what theme they want for their kids party, its usually a good idea to give them a 2 or 3 choices, and let them pick form that.
Things you may want to bear in mind when giving them some themes, is how easy will it be to get hold of theme related decorations, partyware costume, invite templates, can the children’s entertainer provide the themed entertainment you’re after, etc…
Another consideration is to have a theme that isn’t going alienate the boys or the girls, if you’re planning to invite the whole class, like most do. E.g. if you announce you’re having a princess party, you can bet that almost no boys will want to come, so maybe add an element to it that will help encourage them e.g. make it a prince and princess party or knights and princesses, or pirates and princesses. These are also very easy themes to find children’s entertainers for.
Popular and easy to implement themes can often include:
Jungle
Super heroes (Or Superheroes and Princesses)
Space
Chocolate Factory
Pirates (Or Pirates and Princesses)
Wizards and Witches
Aliens and Monsters
Under the Sea
Unicorns and Rainbow (though, as you can imagine, this one tends to be more for appealing to girls)
These are all really fun themes, and easy enough to get hold of decorations and party ware to accompany them.
All good children’s entertainers will be well accustomed to offering these themes too. With our kids themed party entertainers, they come dressed up in the costume related to your child’s theme, and also incorporate a super fun adventure story into the party, making the kids feel they are inside an awesome adventure story.
Typical activities that our kids entertainers do are things like comedy magic, games, dancing and music, rocket balloons, bubbles and touchable bubbles, puppetry, balloon modelling and prizes for al lthe kids. All nicely integrated into the theme.
